Hey Gregory-- I was just perusing the threads from yesterday and caught your question to me-- I had already flown the coop.
Anyway, its actually off the coast of Honduras-- Roatan is the name of the place. You can sit in any hotel lobby and observe money changing hands and deals going down-- police officers, high ranking officials, businessmen, they're all there-- some Hispanic, some US Citizens, Europeans, and a good many Arabs.
You mentioned visiting your favorite shaman and curandero.
I have a good friend who is studying to become a curandero. He does healing work with stones. His mentor is an 87 year curandera from Central America. She's quite the character, herself!
